On the Saturday before the 3rd Advent, Berlin transforms into a rolling winter wonderland: Santa Claus on Road e.V. returns to the streets with hundreds of festively decorated bikes, scooters, quads and trikes. Every year, around 300 riders turn their machines into moving Christmas displays covered in greenery, fairy lights, tinsel and costumes ranging from Santas to reindeer, while bringing gifts to people in need across the city.

For us, it’s the perfect moment to host a special Filmriss Artist Walk.

Together with Berlin-based street photographer Rokas Jankus, recently featured in our Between Frames episode, we will photograph the atmosphere and energy leading up to the start of the Christmas Biketour demonstration.

📸 What to expect:

• A small, intimate group with only 10 spots

• Street photography session with Rokas from 13:00 to 15:00

• Meeting point: Rathaus Lankwitz

• Hands-on guidance on how to photograph demonstrations, parades and dynamic street events

• Tips on positioning, timing, ethics and capturing authentic moments in crowded environments
